CORRECTION (2nd pass): Re-sourced from Tesla's own Q4 2025 earnings call (Jan 28, 2026). Musk confirms some Optimus units doing "basic tasks" in factories but explicitly states "not in usage in our factories in a material way" and "it's more so that the robot can learn." This is partial: some deployment occurred but fell far short of "several thousand useful factory bots" and Musk himself says they're not doing useful production work. Previous sources (optimusk.blog, Reddit) replaced with Tesla's own earnings call transcript.
