The C-Worker 5 ran 2,275 nautical miles of parallel survey lines to the Q105, both vessels operating multi-beam sonars and simultaneously towing side-scan sonars. The USV was operated via the ASView control system from a control station aboard the Q105. The campaign is a landmark for autonomous marine survey: it followed a 2015 proof-of-concept in which an ASV platform became the first USV to update US nautical charts for NOAA.
