A pedestrian on Pico Blvd in Los Angeles reported a minor bruise after contact with an Acme R1 delivery robot on September 3, 2024. The pedestrian filed an account with local police; LAPD opened a report. Acme Robotics disputes the timing and characterization of the contact described in the police account (see operator response).

> Acme reviewed onboard sensor logs from the R1 unit referenced in the police account. The unit was stationary at the time the pedestrian states contact occurred. We are working with LAPD to reconcile the accounts and have reached out to the pedestrian directly.
