On September [XXX], 2025 at 9:50 AM PT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Los Angeles, California was in a collision involving an SUV on [XXX] near [XXX].
The Waymo AV was stopped facing southeast on [XXX] for a queue of traffic ahead. While the Waymo AV remained stopped, an SUV that was stopped at the curb on the north side of [XXX] with its hazard lights activated maneuvered out of its parking spot and proceeded northwestbound on [XXX]. As the SUV approached the Waymo AV, still with its hazard lights activated, it crossed the center double yellow line and the front left of the SUV made contact with the front left of the stationary Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. Both vehicles sustained damage.
