On February [XXX], 2026 at 2:12 AM PT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in San Francisco, California was in a collision involving a passenger car on [XXX] at [XXX]. 

The Waymo AV was parked in-lane facing northeast near the south curb on [XXX] with its hazard lights activated for a passenger pickup. While the Waymo AV was stopped, the two Waymo AV passengers approached the Waymo AV, opened the rear right door, and one of the passengers entered the Waymo AV. While the other passenger was standing outside of the Waymo AV at the open rear right door, a passenger car traveling northwestbound on [XXX] proceeded straight into the intersection with [XXX] without stopping at the stop sign on [XXX], and the front of the passenger car made contact with the Waymo AV passenger and the right side of the Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. Both vehicles sustained damage. The passengers of the Waymo AV were not belted at the time of collision as they were in the process of entering the vehicle. The passenger that was standing outside of the Waymo AV reported minor injuries and was transported to a hospital by an ambulance.
