On June [XXX], 2026 at 5:23 PM ET a [Waymo](/companies/waymo.md) Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Miami, Florida was in a collision involving a passenger car in a hotel loading zone at [XXX].

The Waymo AV was parked facing west in a hotel loading zone at [XXX] with its hazard lights activated for a passenger drop off. While the Waymo AV was parked, a Waymo AV passenger opened the rear left door and exited the Waymo AV. At the same time, a passenger car traveling westbound through the hotel loading zone proceeded to pass the Waymo AV to the left, and the front right side of the passenger car made contact with the open rear left door of the parked Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. Both vehicles sustained damage.
