On June [XXX], 2026 at 4:51 PM MT a [Waymo](/companies/waymo.md) Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Scottsdale, Arizona was in a collision involving a set of barrier arms at the entrance of a parking lot at [XXX].

The Waymo AV was traveling eastbound in a parking lot at [XXX] and slowing to yield to an SUV stopped at the entrance to a parking area ahead with a closed set of barrier arms. After the barrier arms lifted and the SUV proceeded forward, the Waymo AV proceeded forward at a low rate of speed. As the barrier arms began to lower, the Waymo AV continued to proceed and the front left and front right side of the Waymo AV made contact with the barrier arms. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. The Waymo AV and both barrier arms sustained damage.
