On August [XXX], 2026 at 12:09 PM PDT a [Waymo](/companies/waymo.md) Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in [Los Angeles](/locations/los-angeles.md), [California](/locations/california.md) was in a collision involving an SUV [XXX] near [XXX].

The Waymo AV was stopped facing east in the right lane on [XXX], yielding to an SUV executing a reversing parking maneuver into the dedicated parking lane along the south curb. While the Waymo AV was stopped, a second SUV, initially stopped directly behind the Waymo AV, began changing lanes to the adjacent left lane, and the front left side of the second SUV made contact with the right side of a passenger car traveling eastbound in the left lane. The second SUV was pushed to the right towards the Waymo AV, and the front right side of the second SUV made contact with the rear left side of the stationary Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. All three vehicles sustained damage.
