On September [XXX], 2026 at 11:09 PM EDT a [Waymo](/companies/waymo.md) Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in [Miami](/locations/miami.md), [Florida](/locations/florida-usa.md) was in a collision involving a motorcycle on Interstate [XXX] near exit [XXX].

The Waymo AV was traveling northbound in the leftmost lane on Interstate [XXX] when a motorcycle traveling northbound, partially in the adjacent second lane from the left and partially in the leftmost lane, approached the AV from behind. As the motorcycle proceeded forward, it passed the Waymo AV to the right, and the left side of the motorcycle made contact with the right side of the Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. The Waymo AV sustained damage.
