Directly behind it, a pickup truck (Vehicle 2) failed to maintain a safe following distance and intentionally approached extremely close to the stationary Zoox vehicle just prior to the traffic signal turning green. As the light changed to green, the Zoox vehicle began moving but subsequently slowed at which point it was struck by Vehicle 2. The driver of Vehicle 2 then reversed and maneuvered around the stopped Zoox vehicle before leaving the scene without exchanging information. The Zoox vehicle was found to have sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported and police were not notified.
