Founder and CEO of [Remebot](/companies/remebot) (Beijing Bohuiweikang Technology), a Chinese medical robotics company he established in August 2010 to commercialize the Remebot stereotactic neurosurgery robot. The Remebot system — a six-axis robotic arm with CT/MRI-compatible visual imaging — was originally developed by Professor [Wang Tianmiao](/people/wang-tianmiao) and his team at Beihang University starting in 1997. Liu led the effort to bring the technology through CFDA regulatory approval and into clinical use across Chinese hospitals for minimally invasive neurosurgical procedures.
