Co-founder of Franka Emika (2016, Munich), now Franka Robotics. Created the Franka Panda (later FR3) torque-controlled 7-DOF robot arm, pioneering affordable compliant manipulation. Professor and Director of the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) at TU Munich. Co-founded with brother Simon Haddadin. Franka Emika entered insolvency in July 2023 and was restructured. Recipient of IEEE George Saridis Leadership Award in Robotics and Automation.
