It also adds prohibitions on AI systems generating non-consensual intimate imagery or child sexual abuse material, applying from 2 December 2026. Applicability: this is the change most relevant to humanoids, mobile manipulators and AMRs sold in the EU, because their AI-driven safety functions now route through machinery law rather than the AI Act's separate high-risk regime.
