Tesla Optimus

Tesla's general-purpose bipedal humanoid robot (also called Tesla Bot), in development since 2021. Approx. human height (~173 cm) and ~57 kg with a stated ~20 kg payload target. Integrates Tesla's FSD-derived AI stack; later iterations add upgraded high-DOF hands. As of mid-2026, deployed only internally at Tesla for data collection and task training; not yet commercially available. REVIEW NOTE: sources disagree on generation labeling (whether 'Gen 3'/'V3' is a full new robot or refers to upgraded hands on a Gen 2 body); the fuller V3 reveal was reported as expected later in 2026. Specs below reflect the conservatively-sourced Gen 2 body figures.
