About DEPLOY
DEPLOY is the reference layer for the physical world's machines and markets. We maintain verified, machine-readable records - of physical AI (every robot, deployment, company, and claim, on the registry) and of local commerce (every permitted business, starting with Los Angeles, on Deploy Ground) - so that people and AI assistants get answers backed by evidence instead of guesses. Every fact carries its source, its date, and its confidence tier. When we don't know something, the record says so.
Why it exists
AI assistants are becoming the way people find, ask, and buy. They are only as good as the data they can trust.
DEPLOY builds the verified layer they read from: primary-sourced, append-only, publicly checkable, and honest about absence. The line between what we have verified against a primary source and what a company merely claims is part of the data, not a footnote.
As assistants begin to transact - ordering from businesses, dispatching services, interacting with machines - DEPLOY provides the records, the verification, and the rails that make those transactions trustworthy. Every claim resolves to a citable record with its evidence attached.

Who's behind it
DEPLOY is built and operated by Ben Smith, under published methodology and human governance.
Senior media, technology, and entertainment executive with more than two decades building and scaling businesses at the intersection of content, technology, and digital distribution. Executive Board Director at Vobile Group Limited (HKEX: 3738), a global leader in digital content rights management. An early architect of the online video industry, Ben was part of the pioneering business development teams at Google and YouTube and served as YouTube's first business executive based in Los Angeles. He joined Vobile in 2014 through its acquisition of Blayze Inc., the venture-backed digital video company he founded and led as CEO.
