Amazfit started as a Xiaomi partner, rebranded to Zepp Health in 2021, and quietly dropped the Xiaomi connection from its marketing. If you bought early, your data was moved to Zepp's systems during that rebrand, and current Amazfit materials do not mention it.

GPS location is recorded during workouts, saved to the watch, and synced to Zepp cloud servers. The company also estimates your location from your IP address.

Kept on the device
Some data like location logs is overwritten automatically on-device, while health metrics stay stored. Certain features work locally without sending data to Zepp servers.
