HUGIN

HUGIN is Kongsberg's family of free-swimming autonomous underwater vehicles, and the registry entity is scoped to the HUGIN AUV rather than Kongsberg, the large Norwegian sensor and systems conglomerate that makes it. HUGIN passes the AI-as-primary test despite its corporate parentage because it is a genuine autonomous undersea vehicle with in-mission onboard processing, including autonomous pipe-tracking, terrain-relative navigation, and automated target recognition, not a sensor package; the HUGIN Superior variant is rated to full ocean depth with more than 70 hours of endurance and navigation accuracy better than 0.04 percent of distance travelled.
