Bear Robotics acquires Kinisi Robotics
On June 22 2026 Bear Robotics announced a definitive agreement to acquire Bristol-based Kinisi Robotics, maker of the KR1 wheeled humanoid and Physical AI manipulation stack (VLA and Robot Foundation Model). Bear said it has shipped more than 16,000 autonomous service robots and that Kinisi founder Brennand Pierce (a Bear co-founder) would return as Chief Robotics Officer on closing; the companies said they would operate separately until close (Bear Robotics).
