Hocoma is a Swiss medical robotics company and global market leader in robotic and sensor-based rehabilitation devices, developing the [Lokomat](/models/hocoma-lokomat) gait therapy system, Armeo upper limb rehabilitation devices, and Erigo early mobilization system. Founded in 1996 in Volketswil near Zurich by Dr. Gery Colombo, Matthias Jörg, and Peter Hostettler, the company merged with Hong Kong-based [DIH International](https://www.dih.com) in 2016 and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of DIH Nevada as of July 2021. Its devices are deployed in clinics and hospitals worldwide for neurological rehabilitation of stroke, spinal cord injury, and other movement disorders.
