Who’s involved
Reflection AI is a U.S. AI lab founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou that builds open-weight frontier models. Nvidia-backed. Rents large Nvidia GPU capacity from SpaceX (Colossus 2) and Nebius, and pitches an "AI factory" product for institutions to run its models on their own data and compute.
GMI Cloud is an NVIDIA-partner GPU cloud offering GPU-as-a-Service for production AI training and inference. Founded in 2021 by Alex Yeh and headquartered in Mountain View, California, it has a strong Asia-Pacific footprint and was named one of NVIDIA's inaugural Reference Platform Cloud Partners. GMI runs H100, H200, and Blackwell-generation GPU clusters across data centers in the US, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand; it raised an $82M Series A in 2024 and announced a roughly $500M NVIDIA-partnered AI Factory in Taiwan built on GB300-class GPUs.
