Ronovo Surgical x Johnson & Johnson
MedTech Dive reported Sep 8 2025 that China's Ronovo Surgical closed a $67 million Series D led by JJDC (Johnson and Johnson's venture arm) and separately signed an agreement with Johnson and Johnson Medical Shanghai Ltd. to expand surgical technology offerings in parts of China. The collaboration covers Ronovo's Carina soft-tissue robotic surgery platform and complementary J&J surgical products.
Ronovo also said it began international expansion including regulatory submissions in Europe and South America. CEO John Ma (former Intuitive Surgical) is quoted.
