Sweetgreen acquired Spyce, the MIT-founded robotic kitchen startup, for approximately 70 million USD in August 2021 to integrate automated cooking technology into its fast-casual restaurant chain. Spyce's Infinite Kitchen technology was subsequently deployed in Sweetgreen restaurants.
