Synaptics x onsemi
On June 25 2026 onsemi and Synaptics announced a definitive all-stock agreement under which onsemi would acquire Synaptics at about $7 billion enterprise value (fixed exchange ratio 1.350 onsemi shares per Synaptics share, about a 19% premium to a 10-day VWAP). The companies said the combination targets Physical AI by pairing onsemi power/sensing with Synaptics Edge AI compute, connectivity, and HMI, with expected mid-2027 close subject to Synaptics stockholder and regulatory approvals.
