Ben Bloom

Founder and CEO of Atom Computing, a Berkeley-based neutral-atom quantum computing company he founded in January 2018. Holds a PhD in physics from the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he helped develop one of the most accurate atomic clocks ever constructed, and a bachelor's degree from MIT.

Previously worked as a senior quantum engineer at Rigetti Quantum Computing and as a PTD module and yield integration engineer at Intel. Returned to the CEO role in July 2024 after Rob Hays stepped down. Holds multiple U.S. patents and has co-authored scientific publications on neutral-atom quantum systems.
