Charles F. O'Reilly
Co-founder of O'Reilly Auto Parts. He co-founded the company with his son Charles H. 'Chub' O'Reilly on December 2, 1957, in Springfield, Missouri, at age 72, after Link Motor Supply (where he had been manager since 1932) planned his retirement.
Born February 13, 1913, in Missouri, he was the son of Irish immigrant Michael Byrne O'Reilly. He began his career in 1914 as a traveling auto-parts salesman for Fred Campbell Auto Supply in St. Louis. He served as the company's first president.
