Charles Lewis Tiffany
American jeweler and businessman (1812-1902) who founded Tiffany & Co. in 1837 in New York City. Born in Killingly, Connecticut. Created the country first retail catalog and introduced the English standard of sterling silver in imported jewelry in 1851.
