Chris Shelton
Senior Vice President, Chief Product Officer and President of AES Next at AES Corporation. Leads the team developing new solutions including robotics, energy storage, and clean energy. Pioneered lithium-ion battery storage for the electric industry in 2008 and was instrumental in forming Fluence, the AES-Siemens energy storage joint venture.

Holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed executive certificate programs at Georgetown University and MIT. Holds several patents in battery storage, renewables integration, and EV/distributed energy resources management. Oversees the Maximo solar robotics platform at AES.
