Dave Rollinson

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of HEBI Robotics, a Pittsburgh robotics company spun out of Carnegie Mellon University's Biorobotics Lab that builds modular actuators for rapid robot development. Rollinson studied under Dr. Howie Choset at CMU, where his work on modular snake robots led to HEBI's founding in 2015; the company's "LEGO for robots" philosophy of modular actuators grew out of the tools he and the team built to assemble, repair, and reconfigure those robots.

He holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon and has led HEBI's technical vision as it expanded into industrial inspection, underwater systems, and space applications with NASA and JPL.
