Eliot Horowitz

Founder and CEO of Viam (founded 2020, New York). Previously co-founded MongoDB (Nasdaq: MDB) in 2007 with Dwight Merriman and Kevin Ryan (all former DoubleClick colleagues) and served as its CTO for over a decade. Founded Viam during the COVID-19 lockdown after a personal robot-building project with his family revealed the gap between hardware and software in robotics.

Viam raised a $30M Series A (2022, Tiger Global) and a $30M Series C (2025). The platform is an open-source modular robotics operating system.
