Previously CEO and co-founder of Afara Websystems (acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2002), and held senior engineering roles at C-Cube Microsystems where his team developed the world's first MPEG CODEC chip. NTU (National Taiwan University) alumnus. Holds several digital video-related patents, including core MPEGLA MPEG-2 and MPEG-4/AVC patents.
