Georg Schroth

Co-founder and CTO of NavVis, a Munich-based indoor spatial intelligence company building mobile mapping systems and digital twin platforms for robot-ready facility navigation. Co-founded NavVis in 2013 with Felix Reinshagen (CEO), Robert Huitl, and Sebastian Hilsenbeck, building on his research at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) on visual indoor localization and mapping.

His work on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and indoor navigation formed the technical foundation for NavVis's products including the VLX wearable mapping system and IVION platform. Holds a Ph.D. from TUM and has published extensively in computer vision and indoor positioning.
