Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Neurology at USC Viterbi . Received B.A. ('69) and M.D. ('72) from Johns Hopkins University. Developed the BioTac biomimetic tactile sensor and founded SynTouch to commercialize it. Named a National Academy of Inventors Fellow in 2020.
