Ivo Boscarol

Slovenian aviation pioneer and entrepreneur (born 1956) who founded Pipistrel in 1989 as the first private aircraft producer in the Balkans. A 7-time national hang-glider and ultralight champion with 2 national speed records, he directed Pipistrel into electric propulsion, winning all 3 NASA Centennial Challenges and achieving the world's first EASA type-certified electric aircraft (Velis Electro). Remained as minority shareholder (~10%) and Chairman Emeritus after Textron acquired Pipistrel in April 2022.
