Previously founded Aurora Flight Sciences (1989, acquired by Boeing in 2017) and co-founded Athena Technologies (1998, acquired by Rockwell Collins in 2008). AIAA Honorary Fellow (2024) and member of the National Academy of Engineering; holds a doctorate from MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
