Research focuses on robot vision, computer vision, image processing, face recognition, machine learning, and deep learning. Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (2018); M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.

Has been at KIST since 2008, rising from Research Scientist to Principal Research Scientist in 2024. Developed the AIDBOT, an AI-based disinfection robot, at KIST's AI and Robotics Institute.
