Mike Wirth

American businessman, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Chevron Corporation since 2018. Born October 15, 1960. Joined Chevron in 1982 as a design engineer after earning a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Rose through leadership roles across Downstream and Chemicals, Midstream and Development, and Global Supply and Trading, serving as EVP of Downstream and Chemicals (2006–2015) and Vice Chairman (2017–2018) before succeeding John S. Watson as CEO. Relocated to Houston in 2024 as Chevron moved its corporate headquarters from California to Texas.

Serves on the boards of the American Petroleum Institute, Catalyst, and the National Football Foundation, and is a member of the National Petroleum Council and Business Roundtable.
