Morten Wierod

President and CEO of ABB since August 2024, succeeding Björn Rosengren. A Norwegian citizen who joined ABB in 1998 as a graduate engineer, he has been a member of ABB's Group Executive Committee since 2019, having led both the Motion and Electrification business areas — the company's two largest.

During his two years leading Electrification, Wierod grew revenues 15% and lifted the operational EBITA margin from 16% to 20%. He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
