Reinhard Ernst
Reinhard Ernst was responsible for selling Japanese-made Harmonic Drive gears in Europe from 1971; in 1981 he and three colleagues bought the American/Japanese joint venture, and in 1988 he moved the company to Limburg/Lahn. Harmonic Drive describes him as having guided the company as majority shareholder, CEO and Member of the Supervisory Board until Harmonic Drive Systems Inc. became sole shareholder in 2017.
