Robert V. LaPenta
Robert V. LaPenta (born August 20, 1945, Yonkers, New York) is an American aerospace and defense executive who co-founded L-3 Communications in 1997 alongside Frank C. Lanza, following a 24-year career at Loral Corporation where he served as Senior Vice President and CFO.
As President, CFO, and board member of L-3, he guided the company from $500 million to $8 billion in annual revenue. He later founded L-1 Identity Solutions (2005), the world's largest biometric identity company, acquired by Safran Morpho for $1.6 billion in 2011. He is Founding General Partner of Aston Capital Partners and a graduate of Iona College.
