Bedrock Ocean, a US public benefit corporation, designs and builds its own autonomous electric undersea vehicles paired with the Mosaic cloud-native data platform for seabed mapping and offshore survey of wind farms and cables, filling the pure-commercial subsea-survey cell of the maritime matrix. Its AUVs operate independently underwater on inertial navigation with onboard edge compute, neither towed nor tele-piloted while submerged, clearing the AI-as-primary bar, each costing under $1 million with a pitch that two AUVs cover the same ground as one mapping ship.

The registry records it at early commercial maturity: it raised a $25.5 million Series A in mid-2025 co-led by Northzone and Primary, for roughly $40 million-plus in total, and did paid commercial survey work in offshore wind, oil and gas, and environmental assessment over two recent quarters.
