The jet-powered drone has a 27-foot wingspan, carries up to 600 pounds of internal payload, and can travel more than 3,000 nautical miles at speeds up to Mach 0.86.

In January 2026, the U.S. Marine Corps selected Kratos and Northrop Grumman to develop its first operational CCA program based on the Valkyrie.
