Liebherr and Fortescue are validating the Liebherr Autonomous Haulage Solution at a purpose-built facility at Fortescue's Christmas Creek iron ore mine in the Pilbara, Western Australia. A fleet of four T 264 autonomous trucks entered onsite validation from August 2023, ahead of a broader rollout of autonomous battery-electric T 264 trucks. Fortescue is the mine operator and co-developer.
