H3 Dynamics TUNDRA 2 drone crashes into condominium building in Singapore, CAAS revokes flight permissions

On July 19, 2024, H3 Dynamics was conducting test flights of a TUNDRA 2 drone (manufactured by Hexadrone) in Singapore's one-north area. During the eighth flight, the drone lost control shortly after takeoff and crashed into a nearby condominium building, causing a fire that was quickly extinguished by residents.

No injuries were reported but the drone and building were damaged. CAAS investigation found H3 Dynamics non-compliant with its operations manual, had modified the drone without approval, used an unlicensed pilot, and failed to comply with the Centralised Flight Management System. CAAS revoked H3 Dynamics' flight test and demonstration privileges and initiated legal prosecution.
