Tesla Robotaxi rear-ended by SUV at 2 mph, safety monitor reported pain and sought medical evaluation
A Tesla Robotaxi with ADS engaged was in a right-turn-only slip lane, yielding for cross traffic. The vehicle crept forward at up to 2 mph and was rear-ended by an SUV. The safety monitor later reported pain and sought medical evaluation, resulting in the only injury requiring hospitalization among Tesla's 17 reported ADS crashes. The incident was revealed when Tesla unredacted its NHTSA crash narratives in May 2026.
