On May [XXX], 2026, at approximately 8:05 AM PT, a Motional Ioniq 5 Robotaxi (VIN [XXX]) was operating in autonomous mode in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a Vehicle Operator in the driver's seat. The Motional vehicle was traveling eastbound on [XXX] near the intersection with [XXX] and came to a stop at a red traffic signal. While stopped, the Vehicle Operator disengaged autonomous mode and assumed manual control to perform a lane change to travel southbound on[XXX]. As the Vehicle Operator maneuvered the Motional vehicle into the right-turn lane in manual mode at approximately 2 mph, the passenger-side front bumper and fender of the Motional vehicle struck another vehicle that was occupying the lane. The autonomous system had been disengaged less than 30 seconds before the impact.
