A Zoox vehicle (Vehicle 1), operating in autonomous mode, was traveling south on [XXX] frontage road, slowing in the right turn lane in Austin. The Zoox vehicle operator disengaged from autonomous mode, initiated a lane change to left, and while performing the maneuver the left front of the Zoox vehicle made contact with the right side of a trailer hauled by an SUV (Vehicle 2) in the adjacent through lane.

Shortly after, the two vehicles pulled over into a nearby parking lot. The police were notified but did not arrive at the scene. No injuries were reported. The Zoox vehicle sustained moderate damage.
