On March [XXX], 2026 at 12:33 PM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle (the "AVRIDE AV") was in a collision in Dallas, Texas on [XXX] near [XXX]. The AVRIDE AV was parked in the right lane facing southeast in autonomous mode on [XXX] waiting to pick up robotaxi passengers. [XXX] is part of a construction zone with cones being used to separate contraflow traffic lanes. The AVRIDE AV proceeded to drive forward after the robotaxi passengers were not permitted to enter the AVRIDE AV due to exceeding the passenger limit. As the AVRIDE AV began driving foward, an SUV entered the left line into opposing traffic in an attempt to pass the AVRIDE AV. While in the process of passing the AVRIDE AV, the SUV abruptly had to switch back to the right lane due to oncoming traffic. While moving back to the right lane, the rear right of the SUV made contact with the front left of the AVRIDE AV. Both vehicles sustained damage. No injuries were reported.
