ADS crash report in Dallas, TX involving a HYUNDAI Ioniq 5 (NHTSA SGO 31101-14813)
On April [XXX], 2026 at 10:39 PM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle (the "AVRIDE AV") was in a collision in Dallas, TX at the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX]. The AVRIDE AV was traveling northbound on [XXX] in autonomous mode as it approached the traffic light at the intersection with [XXX]. As the AVRIDE AV entered the intersection with the yellow light showing, a passenger car began to enter the intersection at the same time from the right side of the AVRIDE AV from [XXX]. The passenger car went against traffic rules by driving through a red light as it entered the intersection. This maneuver resulted in the front of the passenger car making contact with the right side of the AVRIDE AV. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. Minor injuries were reported. Both vehicles required a tow. The AVRIDE AV had its right side airbags deploy.
