At about 1:00 p.m. on September 30, 2019, a 29-year-old maintenance worker at Joon, LLC was troubleshooting a robotic cell that performed cold welds at a motor-vehicle metal-stamping facility. While attempting to access the alignment of the welding tips, he activated a pneumatic solenoid and his index finger was caught between the welding tips, causing a partial fingertip amputation; he was hospitalized.
