SBU raids Ukrainian Armor over RPG-75M procurement; deputy director allegedly beaten
On July 9, 2026, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) conducted searches at Ukrainian Armor employees' homes, including First Deputy Director Maksym Polyvianyi, who was allegedly beaten and hospitalized. The criminal proceedings concern a UAH 637M ($15.9M) contract for 6,000 RPG-75M grenade launchers. SBU alleged the grenades were manufactured in the 1980s, not 2024 as contracted. The company denied wrongdoing.
